Athletes on Weird Teams

So I was watching the Lakers game and I thought, "Wow, Karl Malone was a Laker at one point, wasn't he?"

Then I got to thinking of what other players ended their careers in strange jerseys. Then I thought, Durr, I should write a post about that.

I then realized that I'm stupid. There was sure to be a post about that somewhere already. So I searched. And found this one. Then this one. And this one.

So as I began to give up on the idea, I realized how much fun I was having looking at these over-the-hill superstars trying to squeeze in a couple more years of paychecks. Post was back on.

Sure, McNabb looks a bit weird in his Redskins jersey, but do you remember Patrick Ewing on the Sonics*? How about Reggie White (RIP) on the Panthers? Babe Ruth on the Boston Braves? What? Plenty of mindfucks here.

Michael Jackson and ET after the jump.

What I'm Thankful For

It's that time of year again folks. The best day of the year where all we do is drink, eat, sleep and watch football. All that is missing is sex and [hopefully] we'll all get to do that too.

Early Season NBA Thoughts

The NBA season is underway and teams, players, and coaches are already leaving their unique impressions on this young season.

Whether you like it or not, I'm going to give you my own personal thoughts on what's gone down in the NBA so far.

It's shaping up to be an exciting year.

Eagles Halftime Report Card

If you asked me to sum up the Eagles first half, I could do it in one sentence: They lost to the Raiders. Now, that's probably unfair but the fact of the matter remains the same...this team DID lose to the Oakland Raiders.

At Least the Eagles Won, Right?

We learned a few things about the birds after their 40-17 domination of the rival Giants.  And, you know, at least you've still got your health, right?

Observations from the Bench

Just as the NBA preseason was about to tip off, I had the opportunity to accompany a buddy of mine to a Sixers practice, scrimmage, and meet-and-greet session with the players. All season ticket holders got the open invite to come out and see how the 2009/2010 squad is shaping up.

These are my observations.
