I'm not going to rehash what went wrong, criticize any players or second guess moves that were made. That's not for today, it's simply too soon. The sting of last night's loss is too fresh, the end too recent to step back and honestly evaluate what just happened. There will be a time and place to do so and I'll be first in line when that time comes.Thursday, November 5, 2009
Thank you, Phillies

As you might've heard, the Phillies fell to the New York Yankees last night and are no longer World Champions.
Wounds are fresh. Hearts are broken. Disappointment and nostalgia, at this time, have taken a backseat to initial anger and disbelief.

World Series Point/Counterpoint
In the spirit of a great Northeast rivalry, my friend, fellow blogger, and avid Yankees fan Violator has been a good enough sport to lend us a hand in understanding what’s on tap for the upcoming World Series game(s). She’s a real life Yankees insider (owns a press pass) and probably knows more about the Bronx Bombers than most of the writers at ESPN. The full post on her blog can be seen here, but we’ve gone ahead and responded directly to her claims below. Thewizwit.com’s comments are in bold.
Do or Do Not, There is No Try
In searching for inspiration this morning, I looked no further than our favorite Jedi Master Yoda. Do or do not, there is no try.

Chase Utley, You Are The Man!
Last night, the city of Philadelphia was hoping for the best and prepared for the worst. Was it even possible that the hated New York F'in Yankees would celebrate their 27th World Series title on our field? After an early run-scoring double courtesy of A-Roid, it was looking like the night may not belong to our Fightin's. Chase Utley, however, had a different idea.Monday, November 2, 2009
These Pristiq Commericals Are Depressing
"And I have to keep winding myself up to deal with the sadness, the loss of interest, trouble concentrating, lack of energy...."
Yo, Pristiq, some of these World Series games are depressing enough without your Debbie Downer pill commercials. Are you sure you're advertising to the right market? Try moving these ads to 11am on CBS to catch the single (unemployed) women sitting down for their first glass of wine to watch some Price is Right. I don't need to see this lady or her sadness doll anymore.
Don't know what I'm talking about? Video after the jump.

At Least the Eagles Won, Right?
We learned a few things about the birds after their 40-17 domination of the rival Giants. And, you know, at least you've still got your health, right?
Well This Would've Been Nice
The Philadelphia Phillies are back-to-back World Champions of baseball!
Oh wait, nevermind.
After a heartbreaking Game 4 loss, the Philadelphia Inquirer just wants to taunt us . Or maybe it's Macy's fault. Whatever. Either way - not cool.

Sad Face Emoticon
The Phillies are still the defending champions.
Don't forget that.
Go Phils. Give 'em hell.
