Your Ridiculously Early Superbowl Odds For 2012

Bodog posted the early lines for each team’s odds at winning Superbowl XLVI. Our Philadelphia Eagles sit at 16/1 which is actually slightly worse odds of winning than I'd thought they get. I figured they'd be more in the 14/1 or 12/1 range. As you might've guessed the Packers have the best odds at 7/1, followed by the Patriots at 8/1 and the Steelers at 10/1. The Birds have the same odds of winning next year’s Superbowl as the Falcons, Cowboys, and Jets. Your “longshots-who-will-never-win-a-Superbowl-ever” teams are the Panthers and Bills at 100/1.

So if you're a betting man, here are two picks I'd jump on now in case either of these teams signs/trades for a QB for next year: Cardinals 75/1 and Vikings 35/1.

While they're both giving you great value, don't fall into a trap of broken promises and disappointment by betting on the Chargers at a silly 12/1. Those fuckers have ruined my Superbowl prediction for the last 3 years. Bunch of paper-champion, poorly coached, shitheads.  Philip Rivers is a boner.

Yep, I'm Rooting For The Steelers

There is so much awful going on in this video, I don't even know what to say. Just reason #7,046,543 I'm glad I don't live in Wisconsin.

Good to see Big Ben on the receiving end for once.

The Superbowl is Gay

Great catch @JoeBaguley, and thank you for sending it to With Leather so I could see it in my Google Reader and showcase it here for you fine folks.

Pat McAfee's stare into Stover's eyes?  1000% PASSION.

Dolla Dolla Bills Yall: Super Bowl Edition

We've finally made it. The Super Bowl has arrived. I have not real rooting interest for either team, I'm just hoping the game is close for all four quarters.

But you don't really care about my sentiments. You're here for insight. This is your last chance to make some money this football season... or help dig your way out of the massive hole you put yourself in.

Go big or go home. To the Shark tank, one last time...

Optimus Prime vs.Captain America

Over the next few days you're going to hear more shit about the Super Bowl then you'll care to listen to. ESPN is going to break down Dwight Freeney's injury until you want to strangle Mike Greenberg (which you likely already want to do) and you're going to learn everything you'd ever want to know (which is nothing) about Jim Caldwell and Sean Payton. But, honestly, this Super Bowl is going to come down to one thing: Who plays better, Peyton Manning or Drew Brees?

Dear Mark Sanchez - Please Don't Ruin The Super Bowl

The Jets earned the Cinderella tag yesterday by beating the San Diego Chargers in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs. He also helped put the Jets one win away from a Super Bowl berth.

And with that, the New York Jets are now also one win away from ruining the Super Bowl.

Eagles 30, Broncos 27: Credit Where it's Due

Even with Dawkins in town, we learned to give kudos to the man who has truly turned around our franchise. D.F. McNabb went 20/35 for 322, 3TDs and 1 INT (to Champ Bailey) on Sunday and led the Birds on a late fourth quarter game-winning drive. Sure, there were long stretches in the second half when the offense was stalled like a women's bathroom, but for the most part we saw the Eagles O humming along due to big plays from our (Hall of Fame?) quarterback. A 47-yard touchdown pass to Celek here, a 27-yard third down scamper there, and a game capped off by a phenomenal sideline throw (and catch) to Jeremy Maclin makes you wonder why we are all so hard on our cornball leader. Oh wait he just threw a screen pass in the dirt. Fuck you, Donovan.

'The Who' - Your Super Bowl Halftime Performer (for some reason)

Super Bowl XLIV's halftime performer has been announced. To no one's surprise, it's a bunch of old white guys again! Let's hear it for playing it safe!

So yeah, enjoy that.  I'll certainly be skipping that part of Super Bowl Sunday.
