Links for Friday

As the phucking Yankees celebrate their 1,294th championship (at least it feels like that number) we in Philadelphia are left thinking about next year.

So, as you float through this Friday in anticipation for the alcoholic beverages that I'm sure will drown your sorrows this weekend, here are number of interesting links to get you through the day. Oh, and I turn 26 tomorrow, so wish me a happy birthday.

  • Joe Posnanski at Sports Illustrated feels we are all ignoring the Yankees payroll factor. Joe, trust me, we are not.
  • Rich Hoffman thinks the Phillies should rekindle discussions with the Blue Jays for Roy Halladay.
  • Dave Brown thinks the Phillies win the World Series next year if they do three things.
  • The Phillies need to get younger and build a better bullpen, at least that's what Rob Neyer thinks.
  • Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports thinks a repeat World Series might just be on tap for 2010.
  • Their World Series MVP married a piece of paper, at least ours married this.
  • For all those Yankees fans born after October 2000, you finally have your day.
  • Here is a fight you should see, Reebok getting sexy, and a cute college chick.
Enjoy your weekend folks. Go Eagles.
