Dolla Dolla Bills Yall: Super Bowl Edition

We've finally made it. The Super Bowl has arrived. I have not real rooting interest for either team, I'm just hoping the game is close for all four quarters.

But you don't really care about my sentiments. You're here for insight. This is your last chance to make some money this football season... or help dig your way out of the massive hole you put yourself in.

Saints (+6) over Colts

I'm not going to give you any background on this game. You've had obscene amounts of coverage on this game for the last two weeks. It's mind-numbing how much nonsense ESPN has thrown at us. Instead, here are a couple betting stats to take into consideration before calling your wager in tonight:

• The underdog is 6-2 against the spread in the last eight Super Bowls.
• New Orleans went 4-0 straight-up and against the spread against the AFC this season with a 16.8 PPG winning margin.

No one is going to be shocked with whatever the outcome is. Either team can win here. Either team could hang 40 points on the other. But I'm going with the points and the underdog. You should too. Also, you should go with the under 56.5. While I have statistical evidence to back this up, it seems scoring is decidedly lower in Super Bowls than the public think it will be. Saints win outright 24-20.

Oh, and in your Prop Bet pool, do yourself and a favor and go with 'car' as the first commercial.  Suckers go the 'beer' route.
