Dolla Dolla Bills Yall - Week 9

Hope you guys listened last week.  thewizwit.com went an unbelievable 11-2.  You're welcome.  The Shark expects his cut any day now.  Don't keep him waiting.

If he pulls it off again this week, we might have to think about setting up a service here.  We can't keep lining your pockets with green, you savages.

Okay, enough of last week.  On to your Week 9 NFL Spread Picks!

JAGUARS (-7) over Chiefs
The Jaguars and Chiefs have one thing in common - they each have only one good player.  The Jags have Maurice Jones-Drew who (if the Jaguars are smart) will get a ton of carries against Kansas City's pourous run defense.  They really should never throw the ball - unless it's to Jones-Drew of course.  The Chiefs best player is Dwayne Bowe.  Too bad there's nobody on the Chiefs to get him the ball while MJD gobbles up handoffs.

BENGALS (+3) over Ravens
Here are two teams that I think people get too high on.  I don't completely buy in to either.  The Ravens had a huge win last week and I look for them to come back to earth here.  It's a division game, the Bengals are at home, they're getting points, and they're off a bye.  I wouldn't want to bet against that.

Texans (+9) over COLTS
As mediocre as the Texans have been in their existence, they seem to always play the Colts tough.  I'll take the points in this division matchup.

BUCCANEERS (+10) over Packers
Complete hunch here.  I'm sure a lot of you will disagree with me here, and I can't blame you.  The Bucs have been locks to bet against.  The Packers coming off a loss will look to pound Tampa and get back in the win column. I can't believe I'm saying this but, I think Tampa "is due".

Redskins (+10) over FALCONS
Another hunch game.  See above.

Cardinals (+3) over BEARS
Not really sure what to make of this game.  I could see it going either way.  Take the Cardinals and the points and hope they bounce back with an outright win after an ugly loss.

PATRIOTS (-10.5) over Dolphins
I almost took the Dolphins here.  They're a much better team than they get credit for.  I just can't bet against the Pats at home off the bye.

Panthers (+13) over SAINTS
Here's my big game of the week. I'm not saying the Saints are going to lose here, but they can't cover every week, right?  I think this is the time the don't.  With New Orleans on a short week after their Monday night victory, the Panthers might catch them at the right time.  Good side fact - Carolina is 8-0 against the spread in their last eight trips to New Orleans.

Lions (+10) over SEAHAWKS
Tough game to call.  I like the Lions as long as Stafford and Calvin Johnson play.  If they don't, I'd lean closer to Seattle.  Let's face it though, both of these teams blow.

Titans (+4.5) over 49ERS
I don't know what it is, but Vince Young flat out wins games.  He may not look pretty doing it, but he seems to always pull out a win.  Look for the Titans to win this game outright as their new QB begins to salvage his NFL career.

GIANTS (-5) over Chargers
Last year, the Giants biggest asset was their running game.  Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw have struggled at times, but they should get back on track here.  The Chargers are one of the worst teams in the league against the run and can certainly be scored upon.  As long as the Giants defense shows up, they should be able to pull this game out by 7.

EAGLES (-3) over Cowboys
The Cowboys are awfully hot right now, but the Eagles are coming off an outstanding win against the rival Giants. These two teams play each other tough, but I really like the way the Eagles defense is playing right now.  If the Birds manage to keep Jason Witten (big if) under wraps, they should win and cover.

Steelers (-3) over BRONCOS
I like the Steelers off the bye here.  Just as I said it would happen last week,  Denver was exposed for they are, plus Steelers have had two weeks to prepare.

Enjoy this week's games!
