But I suppose we should comment on what the reports have been this week.
Here we go…
Late Monday - The Rams have had "intense internal conversations" with the Eagles in regards to a trade for Donovan McNabb.
Tuesday - Mike Vick says he wants to play for the Panthers. Because he, quote: "likes the uniforms". Gay.
Tuesday - JK guys! The Rams aren't talking about a McNabb trade.
Wednesday - Um… I don’t think anything happened Wednesday. Besides the Sixers losing of course.
Thursday - Reporters in St Louis are still whispering about a McNabb trade happening as early as Friday.
Thursday - Jake Delhomme gets released for throwing a shit-ton of interceptions. Opens door for a veteran QB need. Namely the guy who likes their pretty colors.
Friday – The Rams end up signing AJ Feeley. That’s more like it. Par for the course for the Rams.
Friday - Andy Reid is the only person standing in the way of moving McNabb. Everyone else in the organization seems to want to dump him.
So there you have it. You're all caught up now. The moral is - take all of the "reports" you hear with a grain of salt. Nobody knows anything right now, so don't get all caught up in the slop churned out.
The only interesting piece of info is the Andy Reid nugget. If true, an internal struggle over the direction of the organization makes for a noteworthy situation. This will show us who's really making the calls - Reid or everyone else. McNabb is the son Reid wishes he had. They'll forever be attached at the hip, and he’ll always have his back.
That’s the only storyline I’ll be paying attention to see how it unfolds. Until, of course, a report comes out tomorrow saying there is no internal struggle and FOX got that report all wrong.
